Black is definitely the most likely color trailer to be stolen. Trailers of another color are much more difficult to conceal after being stolen. The whole thing would have to be repainted to change the color, or it would be much harder to match the paint if the VIN has been ground off.

Hi,

Any data on colored stolen trailer ? Less stolen ? More stolen ? I suppose they are less interesting, because more difficult to resell. When I work in a dealership, a guy asked for an ugly orange deckover and he still have it. His black one was stolen.

That is an excellent question concerning the rubber torsion insert. Kaufman Trailers does not use torsion axles; however, we suggest talking to a service technician at Dexter Axle Company, 574-295-7888.

Another difference between the skid steer and standard trailer is: the standard trailer has a dovetail on the three largest axle sizes; the skid steer trailer does not have a dovetail.
